FAQs About Private Parties
How much do private classes cost?: We charge per canvas! All other supplies are included. In order to secure your reservation, a $20 non-refundable retainer must be paid via card or Venmo. This will be applied to the overall cost of your session. (Larger or deep gallery canvases can also be requested for an additional per canvas fee.)
How many painters can you accommodate?: We do not require a minimum number of painters for private sessions, and we can accommodate up to 20.
Can I bring food in? On the day of the event, you are more than welcome to bring in food! We have had several guests bring in foods as simple as pizza or sushi, while others have had meals catered!
Is alcohol allowed: Of course! Alcoholic beverages are allowed for our guests who are 21+. I mean, what better way to get your creative juices flowing?!
How long do sessions take?: We book out an hour and a half for private classes. However, most people tend to finish their paintings within 45 minutes to an hour.
Will there be other people in the studio during my class?: Nope! Besides your instructor, you and your group will have the entire studio to yourselves for no additional fees.
What should I wear?: While we do supply aprons and gloves, fluid art tends to be a pretty messy process. We recommend that participants do not wear anything that they would not want to potentially ruin.
Do we take our paintings with us?: After you create a painting at Art & Soul Studios, you will leave your painting for a minimum of two days to allow it to dry (duration of dry time varies based on canvas size.) Once your painting is thoroughly dry, we apply 2-3 coats of a professional high gloss varnish to ensure that your painting is sealed and ready to go! A painting pickup time will be scheduled during your session.
What if I am late to my class?: It’s life… we totally understand that things happen! However, as a courtesy to our other guests, we may require that your session be rescheduled if you are more than 15 minutes late. In special cases, and if our schedule will allow, we may be able to accommodate a late appointment. However, this will be at our discretion and we cannot make any guarantees.
